As you are no doubt aware via our website information, your order is placed directly with us the manufacturer ensuring you the direct from factory price.
We don't believe in pages and pages of small print of terms and conditions ours are very simple to understand and clear.
TRADING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Please read these terms of sale carefully. You will be agreeing to these terms and conditions when placing an order with us.
(2) Order process
No contract will come into force between you and us unless and until we accept your order in accordance with the procedure detailed below.
In order to enter into a contract to purchase products from us, you will need to take the following steps:
(i) you must add the products you wish to purchase to your shopping cart, and then proceed to the checkout
(ii) complete customer information details and also
(iii) complete shipping details
(iv)choose payment by credit card or other
(v) confirm order and receive email confirming order information and payment.
(vi) lead times are given in good faith to best estimates although on occasion these estimates may not be achieved due to unforeseen circumstances.
Before you place your order, you will have the opportunity of identifying whether you have made any input errors by checking the information ahead of proceeding to the payment page. You may correct those input errors before placing your order by clicking back on your browser and altering details as necessary.
(3) The products
All products are as described within the product pages on this website and all information is given in good faith.
All dimensions are approximate and are provided in good faith
It is your responsibility to check that the item purchased will fit in the desired location and that it can be delivered into the premises
Items made from leather or solid wood exhibit variation in tone and grain within the item and between items. This is a natural characteristic and not a fault
Natural products expand and contract with atmospheric changes and all items should be protected from extremes of heat and humidity to avoid splitting or warping.
(4) Prices and payment
Prices for products are quoted on our website. The website contains a large number of products and it is always possible that some of the prices on the website may be incorrect. We will verify prices as part of our sale procedures so that a product's correct price will be stated when you pay for the product.
In addition to the price of the products, you may have to pay a delivery charge, which will be as stated when you pay for the product. More details can be found on our delivery details page.
Payment must be made upon the submission of your order. We may withhold the products and/or cancel the contract between us if the price is not received from you in full in cleared funds.
The prices on the website include all value added taxes (where applicable).
Our website safe payment system accepts all major credit cards/debit and pay pal.
Prices for products are liable to change at any time, but changes will not affect contracts which have come into force.
If you dispute any payment made to us you must contact us immediately and provide full details of your claim. If you submit an unjustified credit card, debit card or other charge-back then you will be liable to pay us, within 7 days following the date of the charge-back: (i) an amount equal to the amount of the charge-back; (ii) all third party expenses incurred by us in relation to the charge-back (include charges made by our or your bank or payment processor or card issuer); (iii) an administration fee of GBP £15 (including VAT); and (iv) all our reasonable costs, losses and expenses incurred in recovering the amounts referred to in this paragraph (including without limitation legal fees and debt collection fees).
Without prejudice to our other rights, if you submit an unjustified credit card, debit card or other charge-back, then we may terminate any contracts between you and us under these terms of sale by giving you written notice of termination.
For the avoidance of doubt, if you fail to recognise or fail to remember the source of an entry on your card statement or other financial statement, and make a charge-back as a result, this will constitute an unjustified charge-back.
(5) Your warranties
You warrant to us that:
(a) you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts, and you have full authority, power and capacity to agree to these terms of sale;
(b) the information provided in your order is accurate and complete;
(c) you will be able to accept delivery of the products (where requested);
(d) you are resident in England, Scotland, Wales or Ireland
(e) you are at least 18 years of age.
(6) Delivery policy
We will arrange for the products to be delivered to the address for delivery indicated in your order.
We will use all reasonable endeavors to deliver products on or before the date for delivery set out in our order confirmation. However, we cannot guarantee delivery by the relevant date and on rare occasions we may experience delays out of our control. We will advise you as soon as we are aware of them.
You will be notified of your delivery date in advance with our premium service. Your delivery will take place between the hours of 7am and 9pm on all deliveries. All deliveries must be signed for.
Time slots will be provided the evening before delivery however we have no control over these so you need to be available for the full day of booking, time slot will allow flexibility once provided.
If you are unable, for whatever reason, to take delivery of your goods on the confirmed delivery date arranged, you must inform the carriers in advance by 2pm the day before your confirmed delivery day so that another date can be booked. If, through no fault of their own, our carriers cannot gain access on the date agreed, a re-delivery fee will be charged, this amount will depend on how many items you have.
Before placing an order please check that the items of furniture will fit in through the doorways. If you fail to notify us about difficult access we may leave the items at the nearest possible point of safety. Please do not expect our delivery teams to put themselves at risk as we abide by health and safety regulations in respect of personnel at all locations.
We will only deliver products within the UK.

(7) "Cooling off" period/Cancellations/Change of mind
Cancellations are best made via email to email@example.com however can also be made over the phone or in writing.
Cancellation period is 14 days after the goods are received.
If you cancel a contract, you must promptly return the products to us, in the same condition in which you received them and in packaging to ensure the items are packaged correctly and adequately protected for return delivery to our warehouse.
If you cancel a contract, you will be refunded for your products in full. However, you will be responsible for paying the cost of returning the product to us, you can use our carrier and we will advise the cost before collection or you can arrange your own carrier direct.
If you cancel a contract and you do not return the products to us, we may recover the products and charge you for the costs we incur in doing so. Similarly, if you return the products at our expense, we may pass that expense on to you.
In all situations where a cancellation takes place and you have the goods, either already delivered or the goods have already been despatched on cancellation and then arrive with you, the goods must not be taken out of their original packaging and must be returned in the same condition in which they were delivered to you.
Refunds will made within 14 days of recieving the goods back at our warehouse or within 14 days from the day of evidence showing the goods have been sent back.
Cancelations will not be accepted outside of 14 days.
If you cancel a contract and are entitled to a refund, we will refund any money received from you using the same method originally used by you to pay for your purchase. We will process the refund due to you as soon as possible and, in any event within 14 days of receiving the goods back at our warehouse or within 14 days from the day of evidence showing the goods have been sent back.
Only items damaged/not received can be refunded, any items received and used after 14 days cannot be returned.
(9) Limitations and exclusions of liability
We will not be liable to you in respect of any losses arising out of any event or series of events beyond our reasonable control.
We will not be liable to you in respect of any business losses, such as loss of or damage to profits, income, revenue, use, production, anticipated savings, business, contracts, commercial opportunities or goodwill.
The intrinsic characteristics of the natural hardwood product you are purchasing may require some minor adjustments on entering the environment of your home. When purchasing furniture from us here at Direct Furniture Land you agree to undertake any simple necessary adjustments yourself. Certain issues will not be deemed as defective or faulty, for example:
On rare occasions, due to extreme climate changes in shipping, doors and drawers may swell slightly making them stiff to open. This issue will normally resolve itself within a matter of days once the timbers acclimate to their new environment; however an alternative remedy may be to move the drawers around. Occasionally the movement may not settle and a small amount may need to be shaved from the bottom of the drawer or door.
While every effort is made to match all colours and finishes, wood is a natural product and there may be variations in colour , grain pattern and shade. As is common practise when crafting hardwood furniture, certain degrees of filler may also be used to ensure a uniform finish.
Our furniture is handcrafted from natural hardwood timbers and accordingly there may be slight differences in size between products of the same description. All product dimensions specified by us are approximate.
As each product is crafted by hand, there may be differences in the spacing around doors and drawers; however, this will always be within our quality control tolerances
(10) Transit damage/Manufacture damage
In the unlikely event you experience any transit damage or manufacturers damage on your item(s) we (Direct Furniture Land) will be fully responsible to resolve for you, we will collect any damaged item(s) and offer the choice of a replacement item(s) or full refund of the item(s) at our cost.
If any item(s) that are not damaged are required to be returned the cost of collection/return will not be covered by ourselves, any delivery cost(s) will also not be refunded on any order/item which has been delivered or part delivered.
Return items with no defects will need to be packaged in carton packaging or adequately packaged for safe transit, any damages in transit back to ourselves will not be accepted and is your responsibility to ensure safe transit back to our warehouse.

We like to keep everything simple and sweet allowing you our customer to order directly from the factory and obtain the direct trade price and benefit from our unique service and operation.
Our hassle free returns policy
Under the distance selling legislation, namley, The Consumer Contracts (information, cancellation and additional charges) Regulations 2013 you may cancel a distance contract from us at any time within 14 days after the day you received the relevant item(s).
After this 14 day period we are unable to accept returns of any items purchased unless faulty.
